Being single has its merits.
No, really!
You can sleep on either side of the bed. You get to hold the remote control and never have to watch Bolton hold Sunderland to a nil-nil draw. You can even eat standing up over the sink, wearing just your saggy old granny pants. I have to admit that this is a very good subject to talk about but I’m wondering if I can do better than this.
Some women tire of this idyllic existence and yearn to find a partner to spend the rest of their lives with. If you’re one of them and are struggling to find the man of your dreams, you could be looking in the wrong place. Internet dating? It’s been done. Speed dating? So 1998. Singles night at the supermarket? Like, get with it, grandma.

Why the sex you don’t want could be good for you.

Many couples won’t have sex when they’re feeling exhausted, unhappy, angry or distant,. Love often arises out of sex. The chances of having highly erotic or romantic sex increases when we’re prepared at other times, to have less than perfect sex: half-hearted sex, tired sex, dutiful sex, silly sex, tension-releasing sex, sad sex, angry sex, and so on.
Candlelight, a glass of wine, a raunchy film…some, or all, of these might work to get you in the mood for sex. But that’s probably only when you’re already feeling amenable to the idea of making love. What are the chances of having sex if you’re bored, or tired, or angry with your partner?
